From Hollywood, California to Nashville, Tennessee, Karen Will Rogers has captured the hearts of her clients from coast to coast.  A California native, Karen has had a lustrous career photographing some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.  As a protégé under Roger Marschowitz and Helen Cherry, two of the most esteemed photographers in Los Angles, Karen developed her own unique style. Her specialty of using natural reflective light to capture the very soul of her clients garnered her a prestigious list of celebrities including Kelsey Grammar, Phil Collins, Jose Feliciano, George Schlatter and Jack Hannah.

 

Having made a name for herself as a top notch photographer in California, Karen found herself taking on a whole new world when her life moved to Nashville during her marriage to Dan Rogers, nephew of Kenny Rogers.  With her new family, came new introductions, which facilitated meetings with some of the biggest Country Artists in the world. Her peers promoted her talents beautifully and soon the likes of Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Tanya Tucker, Billy Ray Cyrus, Brad Paisley, Billy Bob Thornton, Wynona Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Dan Akroyd, Carl Perkins, Sam Phillips, Montgomery Gentry and Barbara Mandrel among others became a glowing part of her client list.

 

Karen’s range of artistic expertise extends to other genres as well. She has a unique gift of catching the personality of dogs and cats with her camera that has captivated pet owners for years. With a passion to share this special art form with the world, she has since authored two photography books on celebrities with their pets. The first book, Music Row Dogs and Nashville Cats, published by Simon and Schuster, gives an inside look into many beloved country artists with their companions. Pit Road Pets, published by The Ryan Newman Foundation, gives the NASCAR fan a rare look at some of the biggest racers in the world with man’s best friend, dog, cat or even horse.

 

Over the last 10 years, Karen has become one of the most sought after photographers for high profile weddings and engagement portraits in Nashville. She boasts one of the biggest wedding portfolios in the area, and is a self-professed romantic. The testimonials speak for themselves. The corporate world has always beckoned for Karen’s unique brand of photography.  She has worked for such companies as Sony Music, I Do bridal publication, The Country Music Association, Curb Records, Belmont University, CMT (Country Music Television), MIX magazine, Ocean Way Recording, Southwest Airlines, Country Weekly and the Nashville Scene just to name a few. Since 2002, Karen has been selected to photograph the yearly winner of the Miss Tennessee pageant.
